The beautiful cover of this book first caught my eye but the story inside was charming and imaginative.
Garden Spells
by Sarah Addison Allen is a lovely story about family ties and the magic of everyday life. This book is a perfect example of the
magical realism genre. My first experience with this type of story telling was Laura Esquivel's
Like Water for Chocolate
(which I totally loved). If you like quirky stories with a touch of fantasy, you will definitely like Garden Spells.
